  • 1 ½ cup buttermilk

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius/ 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl; corn flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder, and whisk well to combine.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients; add in buttermilk and the eggs.
  4. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. You can do this manually or use a mixer at average speed.
  5. Add the melted butter and mix. Do not over mix; it will make the batter too smooth.
  6. Butter a 9-inch square baking dish or a cast-iron skillet. Heat the baking dish in the oven for 10 minutes.
